Grandma's Gluten-Free Baking N Cooking

Gluten-Free Does Not Mean Flavor Free

Dark Chocolate Christmas Joy

These are really easy – the hardest part (which is not that hard) is making sure not to heat the chocolate too fast or at too high of heat. We really enjoyed these – almost did not have any left to take a picture of for you! Depending on what type of chocolate chips you use, these can be dairy free too.

You can make these and give them as gifts too!

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups bittersweet chocolate chips (I used Ghirardelli)

1 cup almonds, chopped and toasted (bake in oven at 350* about 10 minutes)

1 cup dried cranberries (I used Craisins)

Directions:

Melt chocolate chips slowly in microwave being careful not to overheat and break the temper (will not solidify properly if temper is broken) or melt in double boiler – whichever is easier for you.

Add the almonds and cranberries and stir. Spoon out onto wax paper or parchment paper (wax is cheaper) in little dollops and allow to cool until hardened. Enjoy!
