Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa
2 tablespoons Mila hydrated
2 cups gluten free soy milk
1 gala apple chopped small
1 cinnamon stick
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
Serve:
Apple sliced into thin wedges
½ cup gluten free vanilla yogurt
½ cup chopped nuts (your choice)
Gluten free soy milk
Directions:
Hydrate the Mila in 8 ounces of water. Let stand for 15 minutes.
Combine the quinoa, Mila, soy milk, nutmeg, and cloves in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Don’t leave unattended because milk might boil over or start sticking to bottom of pan. Once it starts to boil bring it down to a simmer. Stir occasionally for 5 minutes. Then add the chopped apples and cinnamon stick. Simmer until the mixture absorbs the liquid and becomes the thickness you desire.
