Grandpa’s Favorite Trail Mix
I created this trail mix for me but my boyfriend loves it so much, it is one of the things he requested for Christmas! We eat way too much of this mix. I have to hide it from myself or have my boyfriend hide it from me.
Ingredients:
1 cup almonds
1 cup pecans
1 cup walnuts (broken up a little)
1 cup raisins
1 cup dried cranberries (Craisins)
1 cup Ghirardelli…

Dark Chocolate Christmas Joy

These are really easy – the hardest part (which is not that hard) is making sure not to heat the chocolate too fast or at too high of heat. We really enjoyed these – almost did not…

Tricked Out Fudgy Cookies

I wanted to try making chocolate cookies but, you know me, I have to go to the next level (and then some)! These mild mannered looking cookies hide the fact that they are teaming with flavor! These are like "the everything bagel" or "the works". Let me…

Chocolate Butterscotch Crispy Bars
I used to make these for my kids when they were growing up. I have converted it to a gluten-free version. I hope you enjoy them as much as my kids did!
If they are too sweet for you, add more peanut butter next time. Conversely, if they are not sweet enough, add less peanut butter next time.
Ingredients:
1 (11 oz) pkg Hershey’s Butterscotch chips (Nestle’s are not gluten-free)
1 (12 oz) pkg…

Turkey Cabbage Rolls
I made this several times before I posted this recipe because I was having trouble with how to explain what to do about the cabbage. The first time we made it, my boyfriend had to go out and buy another cabbage while I was preparing the rolls from the first one. The second time, I just added the extra meat mixture to the sauce. The third time, I decided to just start with two heads. The fourth time, I decided to start with less filling and work it out from…

I made this today to test the recipe and to use up some leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. I like it a lot and the turkey rice soup was so good that we are considering buying another turkey in order to make more of these recipes and others.
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked turkey, cubed or shredded
¼ cup Miracle Whip or your favorite gluten-free mayonnaise or salad dressing
¼ cup mustard
2 cloves…
