Summer Is Coming!

With summer coming I decided I wanted to learn how to make ice cream. I am tired of trying to decipher the ingredient list on the packages in the store. The ingredients are getting worse and worse each year. What happened to milk, heavy whipping cream and half and half? Plain and simple sugar? Eggs? Vanilla extract? Chocolate Butterscotch Haystacks

These are yummy!!! I used to make them for my kids without the chocolate but decided to make them even tastier. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. 

 

12 oz bag Chocolate Chips* (I used bittersweet chocolate chips)

11 oz bag Butterscotch Chips*

1/4 cup Peanut Butter

10 oz bag Spanish Peanuts, roasted (not raw)

Rich Chocolate Pudding

I created this recipe for a component in a recipe contest for making a parfait. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. 

 

Chocolate Pudding Ingredients:

 

¾ cup raw sugar

½ cup Hershey’s Cocoa Powder

3 tablespoons cornstarch (can use tapioca starch instead)

1/8 teaspoon sea salt

2 ½ cups whole milk

1 ½ tsps gluten-free vanilla extract (use real vanilla)

I have been seeing several shows about roasted garlic and finally decided to make some.
