Hello,
One of my closest friends was diagnosed with an intolerance to gluten. I didn't know anything about it until she told me about it. Even though most of the recipes for Gourmet Girl Magazine are not GF I want to explore offering that option for the segment of the population that is. There are a few recipes on GGM that gluten sensitive folks can make. However, we also discuss wine, cheese, and speak with celebrities and celebrity chefs.
If you are a foodie we have a lot to offer. The official blog is where I share my personal insights, etc.
I look forward to chatting and learning from everyone on this site.
Thank you for your friendship.
Elaine
Hi and thanks for the note. I have had years of bad health issues and my brother was recently diagnosed and has been following gluten free. he suggested my sister and I look into it as we both have similar health issues. My blood test was negative and rather than going through the whole stool test, I decided to go gluten free for a month at Joyce Paige's suggestion. I'm through with week one and have not noticed a difference in how I feel yet but I have a LOT of inflammation so imagine it may take quite awhile to settle down. I have also gone off corn, eggs and nightshades although still do potatoes as aside from rice, I have no other starch. I am still doing some occasional dairy as it just seems like without that all I have is protein and veggies! I'm hoping to see some results. Glad to hear you are adapting to the lifestyle well. My brother's whole home is mostly gluten free as both he and his two daughters are sensitive!
Best,
Stefani
Good morning! I'm glad you enjoy our state. I like it here, too, but the long winters are a little too much for me. I will be moving to OK this summer. I am back on gluten for a little while because my physician said, "No way you have sprue". We'll see, I guess.
I am glad you commented and yes, we can certainly visit via the internet. Oh, if you want to buy property in MT, have I got the house for you! lol. Jeri
